This work of art deals with past decisions. We have fond memories of some of them, and some of them still concern us today. The fact is, they are a thing of the past and can no longer be changed. They made us what we are today.

The colorful circles in the background symbolize past experiences; they always shine through behind many other layers of white circles and, so to speak, keep us busy. The power of white is enhanced by the intense contrasts of the colorful circles. It is a play between emptiness and fullness, purity and confusion - an examination of the different facets of our being.

This painting reminds us: we cannot go back. But that doesn’t mean standstill or stagnation – on the contrary! Rather, “decisions made” shows us possibilities for further development; it challenges us to recognize who we are and what issues always accompany our path.
